Arras
Fireworks display for the Grandes Prairies festival in Arras
The open space of the Great Plains allows Celesta to organise a large fireworks display for 15 August.

Major fireworks displays
This layout transforms the Seine into a veritable natural amphitheatre, where the river serves both as a safety barrier and as a mirror for the spectacle.
The programme combines a traditional fireworks display, a light show and flame generators – three elements with very different approaches, which Celesta has brought together to create a single climactic moment. Each technique comes into play at a specific point in the programme, constantly renewing the visual experience for the audience.
The firing area, situated on the Puteaux peninsula, is accessible only via a limited number of access points, which complicates the transport of pyrotechnic and lighting equipment, as well as flame generators. This restricted access means that Celesta’s teams have a tight installation window, scheduled as close as possible to the event itself, with a particularly tight set-up schedule to meet the deadlines before the audience arrives.
By naturally separating the display area from the public, the River Seine simplifies part of the security arrangements whilst creating a spectacular effect, with fire, flames and light reflecting off the water. This is a scenography choice that sets this fireworks display apart from the more traditional displays organised in city centres.
Each fact sheet sets out the background, the site constraints and the approach adopted.
