Arras celebrates 15 August at the Grandes Prairies
On 15 August, Arras celebrates the Fête des Grandes Prairies, a popular event featuring food stalls, concerts, entertainment and fairground rides throughout the day. The fireworks display, set off from the Grandes Prairies at 11 pm, is the highlight of the day.
A display designed for a large open space
Unlike a fireworks display in the heart of a historic town centre, the open space of the Grandes Prairies allows us to stage a large-scale display, with high-altitude effects and wide bursts, visible to the entire audience gathered at the venue.
A site open to the public all day
With entertainment, food and drink, and concerts organised from midday onwards, the venue attracts large crowds well before the fireworks display. Our pyrotechnicians coordinate the safety perimeter with the city’s services, taking into account the public’s extended stay at the venue.
A summer event for the people of Arras
Over the years, the 15 August fireworks display has become one of the highlights of summer in Arras.
